(7/1/2006) - Flying Chain Bolts To Derby Win
Which Flying Chain would show up in the final of the 2006 Dairyland Derby? In four rounds of qualifying Flying Chain tallied two wins and two sixth place finishes. It wouldn't take long to find out the T & T racer had a win on his mind. Chain would open up a six length lead at the paddock turn and then cruise to an easy win over the 3/8th's of a mile course. He would finish eight lengths ahead of Emerald Quaker (Greyhound Central) in one of the largest margins of victory in Derby history. Kma Geisha Girl (Nummycain) would run third. Congratulations to the T & T kennel, trainer Kris Dial, owner Vince Berland and especially to Flying Chain on his impressive display of speed in winning the 2006 Dairyland Derby.
